As Seen in New York Real Estate Journal September 30, 2001
HAUPPAUGE, NY- Elm Freight Handlers, Inc. has leased 105,253 s/f of space at 400 Rabro Dr. The team of Frank Frizalone, SIOR, executive managing director, Charles Tabone, SIOR, executive managing director, and Tom Tabone, associate of Newmark arranged the long-term lease on behalf of the ownership, Plazamerica, Inc.
“This transaction is further proof of Long Island’s continued strength even as the national economy slows,” said Frizalone. “In contrast to the problems Long Island experienced during the 1980s, today’s market has matured tremendously and is home to some of the country’s largest corporations. Elm’s commitment to Long Island is indicative of the market’s staying power.”
Serving as the property’s exclusive leasing agent, Newmark’s Long Island office found a tenant that could take the entire 105,253 s/f, since dividing the space was not an option. After a search of potential tenants, Elm, represented by Richard Cohen of Ashlind Properties, appeared. With this lease, the logistics company will occupy well over 600,00 s/f of industrial space throughout the Long Island market.
