For the first 10 months of 2014, Cohen arranged sales and lease transactions involving industrial properties, largely in Suffolk, totaling more than 1.5 million square feet. Cohen, who founded Hauppauge-based Ashlind Properties in 1990, has been awarded the “Power Broker” designation by industry research organization CoStar Group every year since 2002. So far this year, his biggest deal was a lease renewal with Steel Equities for 542,000 square feet in Brentwood on behalf of Elm Global Logistics. This year, he began representing Quality King Distributors, arranging leases totaling 145,000 square feet at two of the company’s warehouses in Ronkonkoma.
